Working with the Specialist Pharmacy to ensure your patient gets their individualised medication is a simple and effective partnership. If you are already a regular prescriber, you may find the prescription journey useful below. If you would like to start prescribing please contact us.
You write the prescription using our simple prescription pad
You send a copy of the prescription to the pharmacy via email or fax, and use a free SAE to post the original prescription to us.
Your prescription is quality checked by our chief pharmacist to ensure it meets the legal and regulatory standards.
Your patient calls Specialist Pharmacy to order their prescription.
Your patient’s medication is made according to their prescription. Once the ingredients have been compounded into appropriate dosage and delivery form, the medication undergoes further quality control measures to ensure it has met your specifications.
The prescription will usually take one working day to be prepared (although during busier periods this can be longer) and then will be dispatched to your patient using the delivery method they selected.
Your patient receives their medication with clear instructions on the label, as specified by your prescription. There will also be product information that is relevant to the medication they are taking.
